EMR Selection Consulting

If you are like most independent practices interested in implementing an EMR or Scanning Document Management System, you are probably asking yourself a lot of questions right now.  Where do I start?  How much should I spend?  What EMR vendors should I consider?  What is a CCHIT certification and should it influence my decision?  Is my practice ready for an EMR?  How do I get my practice ready for an EMR?  I think you get the point.

Selecting an EMR can be a daunting task for even the most savvy practice managers and providers alike.  Today, there are over 500 EMRs in the market and some experts are predicting that only 30 to 50 EMR vendors will still be around in the next 3 to 5 years.  What this means to you is that a bad decision will prove to be very costly.

We at IntelliSuite Technologies support healthcare providers in 25 states.  Our diverse client base has allowed us to support a wide variety of EMRs first hand.  This experience has also given us the opportunity to understand healthcare practice workflow and how it relates to the technologies available in the market such as voice dictation, e-prescribing, PMS, EMR, and electronic fax solutions.  We have performed and assisted with dozens of EMR implementations and developed a best practice methodology for preparing for and selecting an EMR vendor.

Network Audit

Network Audit is the first step in the CareIT setup but also can be provided as an independent service.  Our network engineers go to the client’s site and physically observe and document their network infrastructure including servers, UPS’, workstations, printers, routers, switches, hubs, etc.  The engineer will also observe and document the client’s applications, operating systems, utilities, and log files.  The engineering team provides the client with a full report of the state of the network with recommendations to bring the network up to a best practice standard.  The network engineering team will also provide information regarding security vulnerabilities, system utilization, and resource availability.

Network Design & Implementation

IntelliSuite’s Network Design & Implementation service provides companies with network design and implementation plans to meet business and user requirements. Emphasis is placed on best practices, new technology integration, future performance, security, flexibility, manageability and scalability. Our implementation and project management experts strive to provide timely delivery of our network designs with minimal disruption in service.

Citrix Design and Implementation

Citrix is an access/application publishing product that allows client applications to be run on a centralized server instead of on the individual client workstation.  Many of our clients use Citrix because it is more easily maintained than individual client systems.  Updates, patches, and upgrades only need to be applied to the server, not every workstation.  Also, Citrix has a component that allows for secure network access over the Internet from any computer which creates a very flexible environment for our clients.  The bottom line is that we design, install, and support Citrix for our clients.  As a Citrix Gold Solution Advisor, we employ some of the strongest Citrix network engineers in the country.
